DSF supports metadata (in ID3v2 format) as a standard part of the specification. MinimServer has full support for this.

WAV files can include metadata in LIST/INFO or ID3v2 format. Neither is fully part of the official WAV specification but both are supported fairly widely. MinimServer supports ID3v2 but not LIST/INFO.

The DFF format has no provision for metadata and there is no generally accepted way to add metadata to a DFF file. MinimServer does not support metadata in DFF files.
