Mp3tag is not doing the same thing as JRiver. If you tag an MP3 file with RATING in Mp3tag, the value is written into a TXXX:RATING frame. This frame is read correctly by MinimServer.
Mp3tag can also write and read POPM frames in MP3 files by using the tag names RATING MM, RATING WINAMP and RATING WMP. The different names represent different mappings between stars and POPM rating numbers. As you can see from this, it is a somewhat complex area. Many thanks for the donation! |
