control point can't see MinimServer

The first step is always to confirm that MinimServer is running, for example by visiting the web page. Apologies that my previous post didn't make this sufficiently clear.

Assuming that you have installed MinimServer by following the instructions in this post, please do the following:

1) Power the iMac off and on
2) Double-click the MinimServer icon in the Applications folder

Does this show a small minim icon (musical note) in the icon section at the right of the menu bar? If so, what colour is this icon and what message does it show when you mouse over it?
