Low Gain of Minimserver in Synology NAS
Hello
![]() I am using synology nas 218+ as a source and my network player is Linn klimax DS/1. I had used Synology's Media Server and recently changed my UPnP server program to Minimserver. Control app is using Linn Kazoo in iOS environment, and I am satisfied with fast search and high resolution Album Art. I think there is not much difference in sound quality between Media server and Minimserver, but there is a clear difference in gain. ![]() I do not understand why the gain differs depending on the UPnP server program, but when I listen to music via minimserver in Linn Kazoo, the gain is lower than the media server. The volume of the amplifier, which had only been up to 50% before, can now be increased up to 70% to achieve the same gain. ![]() There is no problem listening to music, but I'm a little concerned that the gain is lower than before. If you have experience like me, I wonder if the gain difference is normal. Also, if you can increase the gain slightly in the minimserver, please advise how to do it. Thanks :-) |
