Update, I replaced the cable to my switch, mconnect and kazoo both have worked no issues since, believe the connector at the A Extreme was not seating right.

Ripping still erratic still believe it's a PC problem, freezes frequently, been going to replace anyway, pretty old, slow. Ordered a Dell during their sale on refurbished laptops/desktops, will see........
