Skipping [Disc 1]

You've probably studied the paragraph on multi-disc albums in this section of the MinimServer User Guide, but it's one of those I find it worthwhile to re-read whenever I'm doing something 'clever' with albums ...

I see the point, but it doesn't worry me (I regard iTunes as an abomination in any case). But you could always use the DISCSUBTITLE tag as an alternative to the [Disc N] suffix. That way, your album titles would remain constant for the unmentionable app that needs them that way, but you'd still get lower level containers within Albums when you require them.
