Minimwatch can't see Minimserver

This suggests one more possibility. On my Windows laptop, the wireless network adapter sometimes goes into a state where it can't receive multicast messages. This is sometimes related to sleeping and resuming. I can restore correct multicast operation by disconnecting the laptop from the wireless network and then reconnecting.
