RE: Unable to scan music library in new installation
The "unexpected end of file" meesage means that the file is damaged or its internal format is incorrect. The first two files (length 4096 and length 0) are clearly damaged and could not be playable by iTunes. For the remaining three files, it is likely that the internal format is incorrect.
It sounds like iTunes is either ignoring or recovering from the incorrect format in these three files. There was a change in MinimServer update 81 to replace some error messages for incorrect format problems with warning messages. Which update level are you running? If you are running update 81 or later, would you be able to make the smallest file (length 9878920) available for testing? |
