This might sound simple but it isn't. For some of the reasons, see this post and this post.

In addition to the points made in these posts, there are some difficult technical issues within the MinimServer code that would require significant redesign and rework.

I would like to provide automatic rescan as an option if all of these issues can be overcome. As such, it is on my "wish list" but I cannot provide any estimate of timescale or give a commitment that it will be supported.
