Looks like it is successfully reading the only two files I have placed into the music folder, but icon is still grey.

If you are seeing this on the Mac, the icon is not grey. It is transparent (the same colour as the menu bar), which means MinimServer is running normally and you can configure MinimServer from the Mac using the MinimWatch minim icon.
