RE: best way to achieve this with minimserver

When people speak of a tag, they usually mean a frame in ID3v2 or a Vorbis comment. Quote:Is it correct to assume I could pick the frame TIT1 (mp3) or the CONTENTGROUP Vobis comment and write my 'wife', 'son' audiobook' values for my different collections there? Does anyone have a better suggestion? Yes, you can do this and the values 'wife', 'son', etc. will appear in an index menu named ContentGroup (if you have added this to indexTags). If you want them to appear under a different index menu name, you can use aliasTags to change ContentGroup to something else. Another option (if your tagging program supports it) is to tag the values 'wife', 'son', etc. with a custom tag name such as Collection. In ID3v2, the Collection tag will be a TXXX frame and in Vorbis it will be a COLLECTION comment. In this case, there is no need to set aliasTags. |
