RE: Minimserver on Synology DS415play?
Thank you, MikeK. I have a 4-bay DS415play, but with two 6-Terabyte hard discs. I have just begun ripping a collection of 2,500 classical albums in WAV format via Musichi Ripper. I will keep my music on the server, as I have three PC control points for three stereo systems in different parts of the house. I also stream music to my iPad, which, with headphones, has excellent quality sound.

I will keep my database folder locally on a WD Cloud for the time being while I build and edit my library of files. Musichi will help me keep track of what I have played via the Ratings function (Most of this collection I have not yet heard). Now that I am retired, I have all the time in the world to enjoy the candy store.

I appreciate the information on your using "PS Audio Perfectwave DAC II and Bridge (I) combination with a Directstream upgrade kit and a Bridge II." That gives me more to explore in my search for "near blu-ray" sound. My best "candy store" listening was to a blu-ray recording of Mahler's 9th (Gewandhaus/Chailly) played through my Yamaha towers. That was pure heaven.
