RE: GETTING STARTED

The UPNP page is blank and I have to close and restart the program for it even to start looking for the server. The little circle just sits there spinning for a minute or two and eventually finds Minimserver I have tried suspending the Naim app on my iPad on an album cover page. When I resume the iPad, the app immediately sends a series of M_SEARCH discovery messages and MinimServer responds immediately. In your case, it sounds like either the M_SEARCH messages aren't being received by MinimServer or the responses aren't being received by the Naim app. The most likely explanation for this is a problem with the router. To confirm that there isn't a setting on the QNAP that is causing the problem, you can try running another instance of MinimServer on a different machine (PC or Mac) that is connected to the router by an Ethernet cable. This second instance doesn't need to have anything in its music library as you will only be using it to verify connectivity with the Naim app. If the Naim app finds the second instance of MinimServer when it resumes, the problem is with the QNAP. If the Naim app doesn't find the second instance of MinimServer when it resumes, the problem is with the router. |
