I'm a first time poster here on the forum, recently I installed minimserver.

previously I was a user of JPLAY Player though I found my way here discovering JPLAY Streamer in combination with Minimserver has better SQ.

Welcome to the MinimServer forum!

Quote:most things are going very well but two questions I have.

1. I cannot play 24/192 wav files I can play 24/96 wav files. if I convert the 24/192 wav to flac uncompressed the file will play. the same 24/192 wav file does play in jplay player. update I have just found a workaround, I converted the file to same format using dbpoweramp and it plays ok.

I don't know why this would happen. It sounds like you have found a workable solution.

Quote:2. Should I be able to play aiff files?

everything else is going brilliant best sound I have heard in my setup. I'm enjoying the use of plugplayer having lost that feature when I dropped Jriver a few years back.

Appreciate any help or advice

Thanks
Johno

JPlayStreamer only plays WAV streams and MinimStreamer currently doesn't support transcoding of AIFF to WAV. Do you need the files to be in AIFF format or could you convert them to Apple Lossless (ALAC)?
