QNAP installation options

You shouldn't need to make this choice yourself. The App Center window on your NAS should have a MinimServer icon that you can click on to automatically install the correct version for your NAS.

If you install MinimServer from the App Center window on your NAS (rather than by manual download and install), the App Center will automatically install Java as part of MinimServer installation. I don't think this will happen if you do a manual download and install. The App Center won't tell you that it's preinstalling Java but will leave the App Center window "hanging" for a few minutes while this happens. If you wait patiently, it should complete eventually. The user experience of this process leaves a lot to be desired and this is why the MinimServer instructions recommend preinstalling Java.
