RE: Searching for an artist

If not, you need to add it to indexTags (if you want to see an index entry for AlbumArtist) or to itemTags (if you don't want to see this index entry). I'm sorry, I just don't understand. I have read and re-read the above but I can't understand the second half of the paragraph. My objective is to get an artist search to return both artist and album artist items, so that one artist search finds everything in my library attributed to that artist. I don't think I have ever touched indexTags because I have no understanding at all of what any of the tag boxes do and have only entered extra things in them when my understanding is that you have suggested I do that. What I have now is: indexTags ======= Artist, Date, Genre, All Artists, Composer, Conductor, Orchestra itemTags ======= <empty> tagOptions ======== Album.sortTags={Album, Artist} tagValue ====== <empty> But I have been trying to enter Artist.default={AlbumArtist} in this tag box which is what I thought you wanted me to do but when I do this it always errors. I'm sorry to be so much trouble, could you just tell me what you want in each of the boxes for this to work. If a tag box is empty and you tell me to add something that's OK but if it already has content I don't know what to do.
