After restarting explorer.exe the MinimServer taskbar icon is unresponsive. I have attached the jstack trace as requested.

I don't remember the unexpected termination of explorer being the cause previously, although it's possible. It certainly was the cause this time.

Thanks for posting the stack trace. Unfortunately, it looks normal and doesn't provide any clues. Are you using Windows 7 or Windows 8.1?
