I do not know how JRiver is doing it, they appear with everything else, I do not see (or know) of any difference.

You should be able to use Mp3tag to add basic tags based on filename information. See this page for more information.

If JRiver already has the information that you want, the problem might be caused by JRiver not writing this information into your audio files. See this page for information on how to do this.
