Feature Request: Set the level where an index tag appears for the first time
Hi Simon,
I'm very happy with MinimServer and have arranged my library now nearly perfect for the presentation with MinimServer. This is a great application! Thumbs up! Anyway I would like to propose one new feature for further perfection: I propose an option that allows to set the level where an index tag appears for the first time in the tree. This helps to keep the tree meaningfully compact and has many useful scenarios. Example 1: I have a tag called MusicType that shows either "Classical, "Jazz" or "Pop". This I use on top level to get into the section I'm interested. After that I would like to show up the tag Genre for the first time. In this sublevel the tag Genre is no more mixture of the various genres in classical, jazz and pop music and it makes sense to use it for selection. Example 2: I use the tag Decade on top level to jump into a specific decade. Only after that I would like to see the tag Year for the first time giving me the option to specify a single year. Example 3: After having chosen classical music, the tags conductor and composer show up for the first time. Only now these tags have become useful, because before they were a mixture of all types of music styles, where I never would start selecting. |
