My CD rips are a mixture of wavs and aif. The aif rips contain metadata. When trying to stream aif files to the ps3, the ps3 tells me its unsupported data. Wav files play OK. I tried converting the aif files to wav with iskysoft converter. The converted files won't scan with minimserver. I get an unexpected end of file error in wav file shown in the log. To me the whole metadata situation seems a bit of a pain. It would be much easier for me if the metadata was contained in an xml file that could be editied in a standard editor. At the moment there seems to be lots of different programs for metadata. It's a bit like the dark arts at hogwarts, you cant see whats in there. Just an idea. I will look into wav metadata thanks. |
