The dff2dsf utility converts DFF files to DSF. I don't think it adds tags. See this page for a download link.

MinimServer isn't a tagging program, so it can't add tags to your files. If foobar or JRiver can add tags from the web, you could do this and then use the tagged files with MinimServer.

The other option is to use foobar or JRiver as your server instead of MinimServer.

Thanks for your help, Simon. For all I know fooBar and jRived cannot be implemented into the Synology NAS so far and I don’t want to run my music server from PC. I’ll try dff2dsf utility recommended if it goes really without any quality deterioration.
