Please open a Mac OS X Terminal window and type the command:

java -version

What is the response to this command? Please copy and paste the exact text.

Thanks for this information. This is the correct version of Java (Apple Java 6).

What exactly happens when you double-click the MinimWatch application? Do you see a small icon with a minim symbol (musical note) on the menu bar?

In a previous post, you said that you had managed to open MinimWatch. What did you see when you did this?

RE: Minimwatch etc.
When I try to open Minimwatch I get a grey icon and licence text.I'm not entirely sure I did manage to open it.To be fair I do have some degree of functionality in that Minimserver is seen on my IPad and my music is available to browse and play on my Linn ds albeit without album art.

It sounds like you have opened the .dmg file containing MinimWatch, but you haven't opened the MinimWatch application. Please try dragging the grey application icon to your Applications folder, then double-clicking on this grey icon from within the Applications folder. When you do this, what happens? Do you see a small minim icon (a single musical note) in the menu bar of your Mac?

OK, that's good. When you click on the minim icon (single note), you should see a pop-up menu with choices including Stop, Restart, Properties, Show log, etc. Please try selecting the Properties choice. Do you get a window displayed with a number of named property settings such as aliasTags, alphaGroup, contentDir, etc.?
