Ignore snapshot subdirectory on QNAP NAS?
Is there any way to have minimserver on a QNAP NAS ignore the @Recently-Snapshot subdirectory?

RE: Ignore snapshot subdirectory on QNAP NAS?
You can use the excludePattern property to do this. See this section for details.

Where is the excludePattern property set?

MinimServer should probably ignore this directory by default on QNAP NASs

I tried adding the following line to minimserver.config and rescanning but no change

minimserver.excludePattern = "*@Recently-Snapshot*"

RE: Ignore snapshot subdirectory on QNAP NAS?
You should not directly modify the minimserver.config file. Please revert this change.

To set the excludePattern property, you need to install MinimWatch on another computer on your local network. See this page for a description of MinimWatch. You can find instructions for installing MinimWatch on this page.

When you have installed MinimWatch, select Properties from the minim icon and then select the Advanced tab. In the excludePattern field, enter the value @Recently-Snapshot without any * or " around it. Click OK and rescan.

I agree that it would be good for MinimServer to ignore this directory automatically. I will look into making this change.

This change is now available in MinimServer update 132.

How long does it usually take for new versions to show up on the QNAP app center?

RE: Ignore snapshot subdirectory on QNAP NAS?
MinimServer update 132 is not a new version and will not show up on the QNAP App Center. If you stop and restart MinimServer, this update should install automatically. You will get the latest update 133 now because 132 had a problem with some models of NAS.
