One particular flac file random corruption with 1 player - need a better renderer
Just found minimserver a couple of days and is looking very nice indeed, having to seriously re-tag all my music now, so only about 15 albums in library. But I have found 1 track that randomly gets very screwed up using rygel playbin as the renderer. The rest of the album (and all the other music I have so far played) is fine.

Anyone recommed a good renderer, or even control point and renderer to run on ubuntu / debian? (gapless would be nice too Wink )

The track plays OK on an android handset.

here's a trace of the android handset starting up:
Code:
13:32:47.039 Thread-276: GET /minimserver/*/audio/J*20S*20Bach/Goldberg*20Variations/*20-*2001*20-*20Aria.flac HTTP/1.1

and here's the rygel client starting up:
Code:

I've tried Rythymbox now as well and it breaks as well - although the corruption is rather different and not as totally disasterous. It is using the same underlying libraries as Rygel it would seem... It is otherwise a hopeless client though as it can only find music by searching.
Code:

What exactly is the problem? Is the audio playing or not? There is nothing in these log extracts that indicates a problem with MinimServer.

The sound gets totally scrambled after a random period, rythym is just about discernable - sounds like a valve amp with a bust valve. Sometimes just starts introducing random squawks a bit like mobile phone interference.

Pretty sure the problem is in Gstreamer / libsoup, so looking for a better renderer....

Ah yes, was already looking at upplay for control, but looks like mpd + upmpdcli is the answer, no problems with the problem flac file, so giving it a good run now.

Thanks for your help
