Minimwatch loading question
Hi, there,
I've been using a trial of Minimserver 2.1.2-1102 on bubble upnp with no problems, it works perfectly. However, I've installed Minimwatch on my Win 10 pc and the tile is greyed out, I can't open Minimwatch nor can I right click for the options menu. I installed Java Platform SE Binary before I installed Minimwatch and it's recognised in the firewall programs. I know that I've done something wrong, but for the life of me I don't know what! |

RE: Minimwatch loading question
MinimServer 2.1.2 is a very old version that is no longer supported. I am not sure what the 1102 suffix means. What platform (Windows, Mac, Linux, QNAP, Synology, etc.) are you using to run MinimServer?
Also, where is the MinimWatch tile that is greyed out? Is it on your desktop or in the system tray (taskbar) at the bottom of the screen? |

RE: Minimwatch loading question
Hi, Simon,
Thanks for the swift reply. I'm running a Synology Nas DS212-J with DSM6 (I can't update it) On the Synology package centre the version 2.12 is the one listed and that's what I installed. Regards, Bernie |

RE: Minimwatch loading question
On my Synology DS115 running DSM 6.2.4, the version of MinimServer available in the Package Center is MinimServer 2.2-6001.
If for some reason you aren't seeing MinimServer 2.2-6001 as an available update from Package Center, you can download it from the MinimServer Downloads page and install the download manually using Package Center. This is strongly recommended as there are many important improvements in MinimServer 2.2 compared with MinimServer 2.1.2. For example, MinimServer 2.2 has a new configuration web page that provides almost all the capabilities of MinimWatch. The grey MinimWatch icon on your Windows desktop is an icon to launch MinimWatch. Double-click this icon to see a small MinimWatch icon in the Windows system tray (taskbar) or possibly in the sytem tray overflow area. You can use this small icon to control MinimServer, as described in this section. |
