RE: No Play
From your description it sounds like the problem is associated with the RPi. What was the other renderer you tried but was not visible?

RE: No Play
It was the Bel Canto RefStream, which also worked prior to the current problem. Why do you think it's the RPi when I also have problems with USB between the NAS and DAC?

RE: No Play
I also checked whether the NAS can detect the DAC via USB, and it is listed (...but still does not play). I only use the RPi board for Upmpdcli. The DAC appears to be functional otherwise because it can play files from a PC or CD player.

RE: No Play
Please try installing RoPieee on you rpi, it’s free and its Upmpdcli service works (that’s how I use it), this can give some hints about your issues

Thanks, I misunderstood what it does until I just read the information on the RoPiee website. I do find it odd, however, that I can't get anything to play from the NAS via Upmpdcli on the RPi or the DAC's USB input when everything was working fine previously, and am wondering if the NAS has developed a fault.

This was because I had the impression that you were using the DAC's USB input from the RPi. If you are using a network UPnP/DLNA input to the DAC when you have the problem, I agree that the problem is not associated with the RPi.

RE: No Play
I've now sought the advice of Synology and Okto Research, and it appears that the NAS and DAC/RPi are functioning normally. Would anyone on this forum know of anyone that offers a computer audio service?
