"wsidchk error 5" after update to 259
Just updated minimserver to 259. Got message "wsidchk error 5; resetting to Starter Edition"

BTW my annual licence subscription is soon up for renewal.

I tried to remove the 259 update but Minimserver now doesn’t start anymore …

I have the same problem on Windows 11 Home edition.

I just renewed my licence support today, restarted MinimServer and everything was fine until I then upgraded to 259 and Minim server reverted to starter edition. The License tab shows:

Your license type is Starter. For more information, select the License tab.
wsidchk error 5; resetting to Starter Edition
wsidchk error 5

There is no means on the License tab to reinstate a valid full licence.

I have removed update 259 from the download server while I investigate this problem. I will post back here when I have more information.

The problem should be fixed now. If your license has been reset to Starter, you will need to reactivate your full license from the License tab.

The problem was caused by an incorrect setting on the license server, not a fault in update 259. My apologies for the inconvenience caused.

When you activate a full license that was deactivated by the incorrect server setting, this automatically restarts MinimServer.
