Do you have this router? I looked at the review link you posted and I didn't see the screenshot you posted anywhere in the review.

No, I found this information on the internet, The screenshot with the settings was indeed not from the link but found elsewhere. I wondered if this setting was (and therefore mentioned this) for disabling IGMP snooping.

That's the screenshot from my advanced configuration page about IGMP snooping.

I don't have any other media servers and not planning to buy any.

There is no need to buy another media-server, you can download a 30day trial version.
For instance: Asset https://www.dbpoweramp.com/asset-upnp-dlna.htm
It might be helpful just for analysing purposes.

Hello
I don't know what was the intention to propose me that stuff, but in my opinion this is even worse than Minim Server...

RE: Looking for non IT geek
Apart from the fact that the options, functions, etc. (Asset https://www.dbpoweramp.com/asset-upnp-dlna.htm) are described in such a way that it doesn't tell me anything, the functionality of this thing leaves a lot to be desired. After scanning all my library it showed...3 files and 2 folders. And that's only on the start page of this "server", because Yamaha obviously doesn't see anything at all. Also... we seem to be heading towards the inevitable end of this adventure. I am selling this QNAP, I will keep these two drives and play music as I did 10 or 20 years ago - directly from the computer via the AUX connector. As it often turns out, the old, tried, simple solutions are the surest. The best ones. They always work. And probably as well I'm simply too old for all those "new gadgets" which I can't understand enough to operate. Thanks folks for your tries to help me.

I am sorry to hear that my suggestion didn't help but actually made things worse (no visbility of MinimServer instead of visibilty for a short time).

I suggest you try also disabling IGMP proxy while leaving IGMP snooping disabled. This might make no difference but it is worth a try before you give up on MinimServer completely.

Also, what switch do you have? In some cases the switch can be trying to manage IGMP messages, which can cause problems.

The intention was to find out whether it is a MinimServer related problem or something related to your set-up.
Both Asset as MinimServer are well known and widely used music servers recommended by many streamer/renderer manufacturers.

You are never to old learn!
I am not the youngest one either and sometimes make stupid IT mistakes.
I am sure once you got things working properly you will enjoy MinimServer.

Thanks. I'm just tired. Have enough of that. Don't like to spending time on hopeless fight in the matter I don't understand a thing. How it works? What I should to do, how to fix it... It's pointless for me to loose time on it. F..k it. Enough is enough. Once again thx for all of you guys. You were trying.
