Two ideas/requests

First off - 2.2, excellent. Thank you for all the hard work. Being able to view settings in a browser is very welcome, as are all the other updates.

Request 1 - A "live" example of how tagFormat will be implemented. So in my mind, a little box underneath the text field, with an example album and track from the library, which auto-update as you are typing in tagFormat. At the moment you have to rescan to see how these changes look.

Request 2 - I would assume this is requested more often than I can see, last in 2016 (?) - being able to have multiple instances of MS running (my request would be for Synology/DSM). Reason being that I would love to have one instance for Classical music and one for everything else. Having to open up the config page and switch profiles is a little cumbersome - and as a result I am not listening to any classical music! I might have actually asked this before but I can't remember...

For your 2nd request:
why not use Genre tag to group Classical music albums?

Because I would like it to be displayed quite differently from contemporary music.

For example, contemporary music I want to see genre, label/publisher, country, catalogue numbers etc. For classical music I want to see century, composer/orchestra, etc.

They way I explore classical music is different to contemporary.

You can run a second instance of MinimServer in a Docker container on a Synology NAS (most recent models). There are detailed instructions in this section.

Regarding your other request (auto-updating preview of tagFormat output), this would be extremely difficult to implement.

Even if it could be implemented, it would not show what will actually happen with files in your library because the output will vary depending on what tags are present in each file.
