What am I missing???
Hello

I am trying to display the Disc Subtitle on multi discs. I have got the discs displaying individually but they are still only showing Disc 1 etc.

I have changed the tag on the files but still not working.

Do I have to change any settings for this to work?

Did you rescan after changing the tags?

RE: What am I missing???
Yes I have done several rescans, but no difference.

I have also changed the artwork in each folder to the subtitle name but it still displays the main folder.jpg cover.

If this helps?

RE: What am I missing???
What type of files are these? (FLAC, MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, etc.)

Which tagging program did you use to write the DISCSUBTITLE tags?

If you add DISCSUBTITLE to indexTags and do a rescan, do you see the files you tagged with DISCSUBTITLE when you select the DISCSUBTITLE index entry?

RE: What am I missing???
Apologies Simon I have sorted it.

I never checked my settings. I had DiscSubtitle:nil in aliasTags.

Whilst discussing MultiDiscs is there a way to change the view as described in the pictures below.

Present display sequence when selecting

Possible sequence?

This will mean when you select a multidisc alblum it will show just the discs (no songs).

Then when making a selection it will display the same as a single album when picked, or alternatively click to expand to show the songs under the disc.

This may give a similar feel to opening a box set and selecting the disc you want.

As always thanks for any help.

RE: What am I missing???
Thanks for this suggestion. I have been thinking about providing an option to use this alternative presentation for multidisc albums. This is under consideration as a possible new feature in a future version of MinimServer.

You can achieve something similar to this now by using the GROUP tag instead of the DISCSUBTITLE tag. The only difference is that track numbers won't start from 1 for each volume.

Maybe keep a note somewhere to undo the changes if the proposed MinimServer change is ever implemented.

RE: What am I missing???
Good suggestion and easy to do by setting aliasTags to Discsubtitle:Group.

RE: What am I missing???
A simple workaround is to set DISCSUBTITLE into indexTags property, in this way when you browse for an album if subtitles are there drilling into the album will show the subtitles folder and drilling into it will give you the list of that album subtitles, further drilling down will give the list of track for that album subtitle
