MinimServer does not support .pdf artwork files. For .jpg artwork files, the filename must be either folder.jpg or cover.jpg. If neither of these is present, MinimServer looks for artwork embedded in audio files in the folder.

I think it would make sense to add a lookup for an .jpg or .png file whose filename exactly matches the folder name. This would be the first lookup, before the lookup for folder.jpg, folder.png, cover.jpg and cover.png. I will add this to the list of requested enhancements to be implemented in a future MinimServer update. I don't have any plans to add support for .pdf artwork files.

Thanks very much for the pointer. My bad for not reading all the instructions provided.

Thanks. Sorry I missed the relevany instruction! I certainly agree that a lookup for a jpg with a file name matching the folder name would make a lot of sense. I am getting it all sorted now.Wink

RE: Index Artwork
I'm having an issue where I have Artist in the list of indexTags, the artworkFolder=00_Server/indexArtwork, and all of my artist images in a subfolder named Artist. But when I rescan the library the log says "Index artwork subfolder '00_Server/indexArtwork/Artist/' does not match index tags". I can't figure out why it's not recognizing Artist as an index tag when it's right there in the list.

I'm using MinimServer on a Synology NAS with DSM 7. Has anyone else seen this?

RE: Index Artwork
Thanks for letting me know about this problem. I am working on a fix and I will post back here when it is available. As a temporary workaround, adding 'All Artists' to indexTags will enable this to work correctly.

That worked, thank you! The reason I ended up having to do the tag specific images for artist is because I also have Artist under alphaGroup, and I have an artist named E which has it's own image named E.jpg. Well the 'E' in the alphaGroup was picking up and displaying that image (understandably so!). Thanks for the workaround to get it working.

RE: Index Artwork
The fix is available now in MinimServer update 236. The problem affected the AlbumArtist image folder as well as the Artist image folder. Please install this update and confirm that all is well without the workaround. Many thanks.

I installed the update and tested it without the workaround and it's all working as expected. Thanks so much for the quick response! I'm really liking this new feature.

RE: Index Artwork
Hi @simoncn,

I have an index that contains lists of albums for things like Grammy Awards, Brit Awards e.t.c. I've chosen relevant images for the lists but most of the albums fall into the [unknown] category, and I'd like to use a white/transparent image for that index but it isn't being picked up, is this by design?

Thanks

EDIT: I have a boxset/album grouping index where I'd just spotted [none of above] so I thought I'd test that, and it worked! I went back to [unknown] just to check and it's now showing the correct image!
I'd cleared the app storage and restarted/rescanned MinimServer endless times but nothing worked. No idea why it eventually flushed through.

RE: Index Artwork
I confirm that [unknown].jpg as an artwork file is working for me and has worked since the index artwork feature was released.

RE: Index Artwork
I quickly made that edit before I went out yesterday as I didn't want you to waste any of your time looking into it, but in my haste I overlooked something that I'd done that appeared to make it work.

With a clear head, a methodical approach (and trace logging to rule out app caching) I started looking at it again this morning, and the "problem" appears to be that [unknown] and [none of above] are only used if they're located in the root of the indexArtwork folder and not in any of the index subfolders e.g. If I place '[unknown].png' under my 'Accolades' folder, whilst the other artwork under that folder is used '[unknown].png' is not.

I guess these are sort of MinimServer constants, so if they need to reside in the root folder that's fine, I'll just make a note of it this end so I don't forget in future.

Sorry for any confusion.
