MinimWatch not opening
MinimWatch does not open. I am running Windows11 build 22000.856. MinimServer is installed on Synolgy NAS.
The MinimWatch log indicates that it is running although the task manager does not show it. Here is the log: MinimWatch 2.1.2 update 96, Copyright © 2012-2022 Simon Nash. All rights reserved. RE: MinimWatch not opening
This log shows that MinimWatch is running normally.
Task Manager shows MinimWatch as Java (TM) Platform SE binary in the Background processes section. It is not shown in the Apps section. If you cannot see the MinimWatch icon in your system tray, it is probably hidden in the overflow area. To fix this, see Note 1 to point 8 in this section. |

RE: MinimWatch not opening
Thank you Simon, very helpful.
A quick follow-on question. If I want to configure multiple NAS music shares (e.g., rock, classical, jazz), what do I need to do? Do I need, the full license? |

RE: MinimWatch not opening
If you want to aggregate all these shares into a single library and browse only by Artist, Composer, Genre and Date, you don't need a full license.
If you want to browse by other tags and/or create different profiles for browsing rock, classical and jazz, you need a full license. The full license also gives you access to other features such as improved artwork and browsing by recently added and recently played. You can start by activating the free 30-day trial. This gives you access to all features of the MinimServer full version so that you can decide whether these features are worth the cost. |
