Is it possible to pin MinimWatch to the taskbar under Windows 11?

RE: Pin MinimWatch to taskbar
The following information is for Windows 10. I haven't yet installed Windows 11.

When you launch MinimWatch (double-click the desktop launch icon), it creates a minim icon (musical note) which should be shown in the icons area on the right of the taskbar. If you have multiple instances of MinimServer running, MinimWatch creates a minim icon for each instance of MinimServer. Windows sometimes moves this icon or icons to the taskbar overflow area (upward pointing arrow). To get this icon or icons to show on the taskbar, do the following:

1) Right-click the taksbar and select Taskbar settings
2) Under Notification area, click 'Select which icons appear on the taskbar'
3) If the icon for MinimWatch (could be shown as MinimServer) is Off, set it to On

RE: Pin MinimWatch to taskbar
I see the icon OK and am showing it in the system tray but I require to relaunch the app as I have a current issue where it keeps crashing (going grey)
I can't see an easy way of launching the app without going via start|All apps|M|MinimServer|MinimWatch

RE: Pin MinimWatch to taskbar
If relaunching MinimWatch makes it change from grey to green, this is not a problem with MinimWatch. It means you have you have a multicast discovery problem with your network. If you can disable IGMP snooping on your router, this might fix the problem. See this page for more information.

Whn you install MinimWatch from the download, there is an option to create a desktop launch icon. You can select this option to get a MinimWatch launch icon on your desktop. I don't think it is possible to pin this launch icon to the taskbar.

My router doesn't support IGMP snooping :-(
Thank you for your replies though!

RE: Pin MinimWatch to taskbar
Are you sure your router doesn't support IGMP snooping? It might be doing it all the time with no option to disable. To make UPnP discovery work correctly on most networks, IGMP snooping should be disabled. Which router do you have?

RE: Pin MinimWatch to taskbar
Thanks for this. I haven't been able to find any information about how this router handles IGMP snooping.

Is it just MinimWatch that drops the connection to MinimServer or does this also happen with your UPnP control point? What UPnP control point do you use?

Do you use wired or wireless connections from your router to the device running MinimServer and your Windows PC?

RE: Pin MinimWatch to taskbar
I typically use the Android Naim app from either a phone or tablet to connect to a NAC272 and then to a directly network connected Melco HA-N1ZH60 (via MinimServer)
