RE: Recommended IOS Control Point?
You need to make the LUMIN app reload its local cache of the MinimServer library.

RE: Recommended IOS Control Point?
Is Lumin useful only for Lumin hardware owners? I have two Lyngdorf amps, 3400 and 1120, on my network. They can be seen by the BubbleUPnP server (although I might not have configured them correctly on that server) and the server can see the MinimServer files. But the Lumin app asks for me to choose a Lumin and I cannot see how to send music to either of the Lyngdorfs (or any other renderer on my home network).
I use BubbleUPnP on my android to send music to both Lyngdorfs, but was hoping to find something that would work as well on iphones and ipads. jeff |

RE: Recommended IOS Control Point?
If Bubbleupnpserver can see your Lyngdorf amps you should configure them as you can see in the screenshot
Once configured you should be able to select them in Lumïn app |

Excellent!
Thank you very much, stephan_mbp! (It did take a while for the Lyngdorfs to show up as options in the Lumin app.) I am hoping that this Lumin app will work as well as BubbleUPnP. jeff |

RE: Recommended IOS Control Point?
Hi everyone.
I know the discussion is a few years old but I want to chip in anyway. I've been using minimserver as my UPnP server for years. I recommend it to all my friends. With that in mind I'd like to talk to you about a project of mine. Disclosure up front: I'm the developer of the app I'm about to mention, so weigh this accordingly. This question comes up a lot, and for years the honest answer has been that iOS was the weaker platform for UPnP. I'm an audiophile first - I review gear and run the largest audiophile community in Romania - but I also run a small iOS development studio for a living. At some point it stopped making sense to keep complaining about the software when writing iOS apps is what I do all day. So I built the control point I wanted for my own system, and it turned into Serento. Relevant to what's being asked here: - UPnP AV and OpenHome, using the renderer's own queue and Radio service where supported - Gapless, native DSD to DSD512 out to the streamer, DoP fallback, PCM to 32/768 - DSD decoded on the device itself when there's no streamer in the chain - Queue, position, volume and favorites stay in sync across iPhone, iPad and Mac - Never touches the stream, never modifies your files - Works with MinimServer, Asset, Plex or any generic UPnP server, several at once - No account, fourteen days free https://apps.apple.com/app/id6762601663 If you try it and it doesn't get along with your setup, tell me here or at contact@serento.app - I'd rather hear about it than not. Thank you! |

RE: Recommended IOS Control Point?
I see you have posted the same advert for your product to two different threads. Duplicate posts to different threads are not allowed because they spread discussion across multiple threads, making the discussion very hard for people to follow.
To prevent this from happening, I am locking both threads. Please start a new thread and add your post to that thread. When you have done this, I will delete both your duplicate posts and reopen the threads. |
