Can't get minimserver2 to work on PC with Windows 10 Minim Watch 2 is loaded . I am

I am not a techie person.

I have been using MinimServer 0.8 successfully with my Naim Unitilite using UPNp.

I downloaded Minimserver2 and Minimwatch2 yesterday and can't get it to work.

When I try to start it the message on the Naim says "no servers"

When I start Minimserver the icon is green, but the minimwatch icon is grey.

I had an error message re Java so reloaded it and that was sorted.

I am now getting an error message re the subnet:172.22.0.0 not found
Active subnet is 192.168.0.0.

I also don't know whether I should open minimserver first or minimwatch.

Would appreciate advice please.

Are you running both MinimServer and MinimWatch on the same Windows PC? If so, you should uninstall MinimWatch as this isn't needed when MinimServer is running on the same machine. MinimWatch would be needed if you are running MinimServer on another device such as a NAS.

If the MinimServer icon in the sytem tray is green and the right-click menu selections are working (for example, Properties and Show log), this means that MinimServer is running.

Please post the complete contents of what you see in the MinimServer log window when you start MinimServer.

Thank you Simon. I have deleted minimwatch but have not yet tried to play music as the room is in use for something else at present.

This log looks fine and shows that MinimServer has started correctly.

If your control point (the Naim UnitiLite) can't see MinimServer, there are some suggestions in this section. As a first step, try powering all your network and audio equipment off and on as described in the section.

Thanks Simon, I will go through the steps. As i said I am not a techie, I am not sure what the renderer is.
I have a PC with windows 10 with Minim server installed. I use a Naim Unitilite to play music through the UPNp connection using the remote and then an Ipad to select what to play.
I have a virgin router.

If you are using the Naim app on your iPad to select music, the Naim app is your control point (in UPnP terms) and your renderer is the UnitiLite. I am not sure how the remote fits into this as I would have expected all control to be via the Naim app.

If you are having difficulty with any of the steps, please post here and I will respond.
