Still not managed to add that file, It just will not allow it.

I tried adding minimstreamer back in again after it had forced its deletion before and it added back in again and has been running fine as in...

restarting MinimServer[Blue]
Current time is Fri Feb 12 21:18:06 GMT 2021 in time zone Europe/Dublin
starting MinimServer[Blue]
MinimServer[Blue] is running


I'll see what it's doing in the morning before upgrading the RED server.

When I asked you to post the contents here, I meant to copy the text and put it in a post.

The forum is limited in the filetypes that it allows for attachments. A filetype of .error is not allowed. You could rename the file to something that is allowed but it is simpler to copy and paste the contents.

Hi Simon,

That file doesn't open in W10 by double clicking and so I didn't know for sure it was a text file. Now I understand, here it is as it was copied it out last night.

This morning, NAS boxes White and Blue which are Minimserver2 seem to be working fine as far as I can tell. Certainly Blue has not spit out minimstreamer as it did yesterday. The main NAS RED remains to be done but as it is the one in service and not just a backup I'm a bit nervous after what Blue did yesterday. Any tips prior to going for it?

I spoke too soon.

Before upgrading RED nas to MS2, I bounced Blue and White to make sure they were still OK. White - no problem.
Blue has gone red again with the same integrity error yet again.

Please advise how I fix this..

I haven't seen this problem previously with MinimServer 2, so please bear with me as I try to work out how this could have happened. Please hold off on doing anything with Red until we have a solution for this.

As the next step, please post the contents of your default.profile file. Also, please don't try to recover from this problem by relaunching etc. as this might destroy important evidence.

Edit: The minimserver.log file from the appData folder would also be useful. This might be too large to copy inline. You will be able to attach this as a file.

Thanks for this. There are some inconsistencies between these files and this might be the cause of the integrity errors.

a) The minimserver.log file says you have a starter license but the minimserver.config.error file says you have a full license.
b) If you have a starter license, the default.profile values are wrong. Some of these values should only be there if you have a full license.

Please try doing the following:

1) Select Relaunch from the MinimWatch minim icon
2) When MinimServer restarts, select Configure from the the MinimWatch minim icon
3) On the configuration web page, select the License tab. This should show that you have a full license.
4) On the configuration web page, select the Profiles tab, then select View. Check to make sure the settings shown for the default profile are as you expect.

If all looks good so far, stop MinimServer in the Package Center and start it again. Repeat the above checks. Is everything OK this time?

To be clear, I paid for 3 licenses.

After instruction (1) above, MS2 spat out minimstreamer again telling me I only had a starter license.
All then went well for 2,3,4 and minimwatch shows green.

It also told me I have a full license at stage 3.

This is what I did last night same pattern.

I strongly suspect it would allow me to re-install minimstreamer and it will be fine. Restart the NAS a couple of times and I think it will die again.

Thanks, this is all as expected.

Let's take this one step at a time.

1) Make copies of default.profile and minimserver.config as of now (working)
2) Do a restart without MinimStreamer to see if all is still OK and the License tab still says full
3) Make copies of default.profile and minimserver.config
4) Install MinimStreamer
5) Make copies of default.profile and minimserver.config
6) Restart

I know this is a bit of work for you but it will provide an audit trail to work backwards if there is a problem in step 2, 4 or 6.
