RE: MinimServer and Simaudio Moon
I didn't get it to work. I only had it on loan so returned it and went back to my Naim!

RE: MinimServer and Simaudio Moon
Hi Simon,

I finally got back home. I followed your instructions exactly and the log is attached. I performed the last step at 10:38. I notice that the time set on my Synology is 2 minutes ahead of the time shown on my system tray, so the log shows almost 10:40 when I began. (I'll fix the time after I send this!)

Thanks - David

Thanks very much for doing this.

At 10:41:08 (approx 14 seconds before MinimServer was stopped), the log contains these lines:

10:41:08.636 Thread-9: ohNet: Method: POST, uri: /5db6e3ac-1379-4f54-9b5a-656a85906632/upnp.org-ContentDirectory-1/control
10:41:08.636 Thread-9: ohNet: Action called: Browse
10:41:08.637 Thread-9: ohNet: Http Write Status HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request

If this matches the time that you attempted to contact MinimServer from the MiND app, this indicates that the MiND app sent a UPnP Browse request to MinimServer and the ohNet stack rejected it.

This could be because the Browse request was invalid, or because of a bug in ohNet. I have looked at the ohNet code, and I see a possible bug that might be the reason for the problem.

It would be extremely helpful if I could see the contents of this Browse request to confirm exactly what is happening. Unfortunately, the ohNet logging doesn't include this level of detail. I think the best way to get this extra detail would be for me to send you a test build of MinimServer with a modified version of ohNet that puts this extra detail in the log. I'll try to do this within the next few days.

Thanks much for looking into this, Simon. I will await the test build.

RE: MinimServer and Simaudio Moon
Simon,

Quick followup: earlier you asked if I had any other servers to test with, which I did not. Today I installed Synology's Media Server package, which was easy since I already had it available. (I had ignored this before because I have no need of the movie or photo support.)

Simaudio's MiND iPad app located it without difficulty, opened the list of tracks, and played what I queued up, including [flourish of trumpets] GAPLESS FILES! But playing classical music when one can't browse by composer or composition is a real pain, so I'm not abandoning MinimServer anytime soon :-)

Thanks for doing this. It confirms that the problem is caused by an ohNet bug. I'll send you the test build as soon as I can.

Success!! Big Grin I am now streaming gapless with my new MiND and MinimServer. Thank you so much, Simon, for the prompt fix. You are great! You can add the Simaudio Moon MiND HD iPad controller to the list of those known to work with MinimServer. (Note: the HD version is specific to iPad; there is a non-HD version for iPhone which I can't test.)

Thanks for confirming this. I will report this problem to the ohNet developers.

The fix will be in the next release of MinimServer. When this release is available, I'll update the list of tested control points to include Simaudio Moon MiND and MiND HD.

Also curious as to when this will be released as I have been struggling with the same issue! Any ideas as to when this fix will be implemented? Thx

Which platform are you using to run MinimServer?
