Lightbulb Edit an switch between profiles in MinimServer 2
Just to ensure I am not missing anything but this is the way to edit an switch between profiles in MinimServer 2

1. Launch MinimWatch
2. Configure your profile
3. Access the web interface
4. Create a new profile
5. Name your new profile
6. Use the web interface to switch into the new profile
7. Use MinimWatch to configure the profile
8. Use the web interface to switch between profiles going forward

If that so, we should be able to edit and configure the profiles via the web interface and / or allow MinimWatch to switch between profiles.

RE: Edit an switch between profiles in MinimServer 2
Steps 4, 5 and 6 all happen with a single button click on the Create tab.

In the future, it will be possible to use the web interface to edit all configuration settings, so no switching between the web interface and MinimWatch will be needed.

RE: Edit an switch between profiles in MinimServer 2
A related question. My default profile has the unwanted AliasTags= line. So it fails. I have made a second profile that works fine.

But I can't find a way to get rid of, rename, or edit the existing default profile. I would rather have the working one named "default."

Is there a way now, or will I just have to wait until the web interface can edit profiles?

P.S. I am happy to upgrade to MinimServer2 and as soon as the trial license expires, I intend to buy a full license. I've been using MinimServer since at least late 2012 and I'm happy to pay back a little.

RE: Edit an switch between profiles in MinimServer 2
To edit a valid profile, select it as the current profile using the web interface, then change any properties using MinimWatch.

If the profile is invalid, you can export (download) the profile, edit it with a text editor, then import (upload) the fixed version.

Unlike the minimserver.config file (which cannot be edited without breaking the integrity check), a .profile file can be edited if you are careful.

When the web interface adds support for setting properties ("editing profiles"), you will only able to do this for the active profile, just like MinimWatch.

Thanks Simon. I was aware of those options, yet there is a Catch-22. You can't delete an existing "default" profile; and if you export, edit, and upload it, it is renamed upon importing (to prevent overwriting the existing default). Thus there appears to be no way to replace an invalid "default" profile with a valid "default" profile. Have I missed something?

RE: Edit an switch between profiles in MinimServer 2
From a previous post of yours, I believe you may be running MinimServer on a Synology NAS. If this is correct, you can do the following:

1) Stop MinimServer using Package Center
2) Open the MinimServer/appData folder in File Explorer
3) Delete the faulty default.profile file and replace it with a corrected version
4) Restart MinimServer using Package Center
