Hello all,

I have my music stored on the Synology NAS. I recently acquired a Lumin U1 mini to stream music. It's preferred delivery method is MinimServer which is why I am here.

When I try to install MinimServer on the NAS (from the included 3rd party software) I get an error message indicating that there is a Javascript corruption. Is there any way for a non techie to sort this out?

Hi - welcome to the forum

I don't have a Synology NAS but I took a look at the install instructions.

The Synology DS218+ is an Intel based NAS.

From the install instructions:
If your Synology NAS has an Intel processor, and Java isn't installed, install Java by following the instructions in this section.

So can you confirm you have Java installed and which version of MinimServer did you download. It will help to resolve your issue.

Yes I did.
I just wanted to thank Peter and say that I will try his suggestion later.
It is later now, I have installed Java and Minimserver and I think all is well.

There are Sinologi and Akurate DSM. Something went wrong and the DSM now doesn't see the NAS and doesn't want to play music.I removed the Minim and installed it again. Nothing helps. Although Radio from the Internet plays. HELP!

The first step is to check whether MinimServer is running. The best way to do this is to type the address http://x.x.x.x:9790 into a web browser, where x.x.x.x is the IP address of your Synology NAS. Do you see a MinimServer web page or do you get a connect error?
