Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
I am receiving this warning for a number of CDs that I have ripped using XLD on a Mac. All latest versions of IOS and Minimserver.
What am I doing wrong? |

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
The message should also say what the incorrect value is. This should help with correcting the problem.

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
Hi Simon
Have the same Problem with about 6 DSF SACDs. I tried with older SACD_Extract Versions. I write only the Year inside. Warning: truncating incorrect value for DATE tag 1991-22-03 in file Lightnin' Hopkins/Goin' Away/04 - Little Sister's Boogie.dsf Then I write Year Month and Day in any possible Version. The Error persiste. What I can do? 99 % from my SACD works fine. |

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
This is a problem with sacd_extract (see this post). sacd_extract is writing the date into the DSF file with the month and day transposed.
This will be happening for all dates, not just those that MinimServer is able to detect as incorrect. For example, 11 July 2015 will be written as 2015-11-07 (7 November 2015). |

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
Hi Simon
I see this and I tried my diffrent Versions from sacd_extract. I have one from 31.3.2019 and an old one with 29.4.2015. On some SACD this is allways the same Problem. Nothing help. Over 500 without any Problem. |

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
Hi Simon
With the DBpweramp I can correct the ID Tag. With Mp3tag this was not possible. Now the Error is gone for all files. |

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
What is MFSL? Where are you looking for this tag on the T.Rex album? Do you see this tag on other albums?

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
This are all my MOFI SACD :-). Yes I can see all other. Wenn I create a new one only with MFSL it works: But I can see the Process it maks only the first Genre Tag.
This are my Genre for T.Rex Rock\\High Res Stereo\\DSD\\MFSL I am missing High Res Stereo DSD and MFSL On all other it works fine. I have 77 MFSL Albums but it show me only 76. I Miss the T.Rex Album. |

RE: Truncating incorrect value for DATE tag
Do these files use ID3v2.3 tags? The ID3v2.3 specification has problems with how it handles multiple genres. The simplest way to solve this issue is to change the ID3v2 tagging format from ID3v2.3 to ID3v2.4.
There is a checkbox option in Mp3tag (Tools > Options > Tags > Mpeg) to set the tag format. After setting this option to ID3v2.4, save all your files that have multiple genres and do a MinimServer rescan. |
