m3u & network stream
Hi all
I just started using MinimServer as a workaround for the lack of network streaming ability on my SoundTouch devices (as suggested by someone on the SoundTouch forums). It works really great and the setup is very easy, but I am curious about how this works. I have create an m3u file which is the only one served by MinimServer, and it's content is : Code: #EXTM3UDo I understand correctly that, since there is no ID with a "+" sign inside the brackets, it is actually the renderer (in this case my SoundTouch device) that is playing the network stream directly, without it being proxied by MinimServer ? From what I've read in the docs, for MinimServer to proxy the stream I'd need to have MinimStreamer installed and to explicitly specify in the m3u that I want this url to be proxied, but I'd like to have a confirmation of this. Thanks a lot ! |

RE: m3u & network stream
Your understanding is correct. If you want proxying, you would need something like [PUREFM;mp3] instead of [;mp3].

RE: m3u & network stream
I have just read your post again. The + sign isn't required for proxying, only an identifier string.

RE: m3u & network stream
Yes, that's correct. This can be useful for testing.
