Perhaps request this for the next release of DBPowerAmp?Hi, yes I did mention it to Spoon some time ago but don't know if it will be implemented, because the tag is re-added you lose this information even if you transcode to a format that still supports ID3 (e.g Wav - > Mp3). It got me thinking about an application I would like to do that could extract metadata tag from a set of files and store in a database. Then at a later stage allow the tag to be put back into a transcoded version of the file. If both file versions support the same tagging format then it could be put back exactly as it was, if a different format then it would have to be converted but in a more intelligent way than done by DbPoweramp. |

Check what MP3Tag does. It allows for a mapping mechanism (although not to the extend you'd want it). Could be interesting. |
