RE: More Albums showing with latest Update?
What exactly is a USB synchronize backup? I couldn't find anything by searching for this term. Can you provide a link to a web page that describes this?

Excluding a folder from scanning by MinimServer means that the complete contents of the folder including all its subfolders and their contents are excluded.

I am holding off from making any change to MinimServer until I understand how the .Trashes folder came to be part of your QNAP music library.

On the QNAP File Station app, open the Mutlimedia share, and click the Settings "gear" to bring up a list of checkboxes, one of them being "Show hidden files on NAS".
Checking the box results in these files now appearing.:
.fseventd
.Spotlight-V100
.TemporaryItems
.Trashes -- Which contains the previously mention "501" folder displayed under [folder view] in Kazoo!

Deleting it solved the problem!!

Still, I wonder if Minim decided to start looking at hidden folders?
or did this folder get copied in the Sync backup.
What do you think?

Thanks for explaining this. I didn't know about this setting in File Station.

If you can explain the Sync backup part, that would be very helpful. I would like to find out whether this is something that might affect other users.

The latest MinimServer update is now looking at "hidden" folders (i.e., folders whose names start with a period) because not doing this has caused some albums to be missing for Windows users.

I think the only solution is for MinimServer to have an internal list of the "hidden" folder names that it should not be scanning.

RE: More Albums showing with latest Update?
I have released update 95 with a change to automatically exclude the .Trashes folder from scanning. This is because some users will copy the .Trashes folder to their NAS library by mistake and I don't think there is any valid case where it should be scanned.
