DoP and DSF question
I am using a Mutec 3+USB device to convert usb from my pc to spdif to my dac. One thing the Mutec does is reclock the signal and convert DSD and DoP to PCM so I wanted to compare this to Minimserver transcoding (my dac does not accept DSD).
I have the transcode setting in Minimserver to dsf:dopwav; . However, the Mutec does not seem to recognize that its getting a DoP signal. I am just curious and perhaps a totally silly question but does the dopwav transcode option outputs a true "standard" DoP signal? Since the Mutec wont recognize the input signal I am wondering if perhaps there is some sort of conflict between the data being sent my Minimserver and what the Mutec is expecting to see? I know this is a long shot but I am trying to figure out why I cant get this working. Another question...I just want to verify that if I do not have any transcoding set for DSF that Minimserver will send out native DSD? |

Yes, this does send a true standard DoP signal that is recognised by all other DoP-capable devices. This sends the contents of the DSF file "as is", i.e., in DSF format. |
