Kernel Panic Macbook Pro using Minimwatch
In the past weeks I had several kernel panics on my Macbook Pro (latest OS) when shutting down my Macbook. I could not find any cause for this strange behaviour.
I did some tests to find out if there was a program that may cause the kernel panics. And yes there is one: the kernel panics only occurs when Minimwatch (package 70) was started/running, every time. When closing Minimwatch before shutting down my Macbook there was not one panic.
Anyone else who recognises this behaviour? And of course, is the a solution, other then closing Minimwatch every time?

Thanks, Willem

I have never seen this problem. Which version of Java do you have installed?

Does Mac OS X show any diagnostic information when you get a kernel panic? I have never seen one of these, so I'm not familiar with what happens. According to this page, there may be a button named More info... or Report... that shows diagnostic information. If you can see any diagnostic information, please copy the complete information and paste it here.

The referenced page also suggests that this could be a hardware issue. For example, it might be that running MinimWatch is using an area of RAM that isn't being accessed without MinimWatch and this area of RAM is faulty. Another possibility is a hardware problem in a network adapter that MinimWatch is using to communicate with MinimServer. The diagnostic information should provide more insight into these possibilities.

Hello Simon,

Here's the latest log file. Seeing through all the other log files I noticed that in most of them 'fortinet' is mentioned (Forticliƫnt antivirus). When I quit this program, there's no kernel panic anymore AND Minimwatch starts much faster (in a few seconds, otherwise >30 seconds). So the interaction between these two applications is somehow difficult.
