Disconnected after 10 seconds
Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if this is a Minimserver issue or my network but I've tried all options I can think of. I've had minimserver working great for the past 10 months. It's installed on my main pc where I keep my music. I'm using a Marantz 610 to connect and play. In the last week or so I can connect to minimserver and see my listings. When I select a song it plays for exactly 10 seconds and then a message on the Marantz says "No Network Connection". Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

It sounds like a network issue. Perhaps the Marantz is buffering the first 10 seconds and is unable to get more music from the server when the initial buffer is exhausted.

That sounds like it but it's obviously connecting initially in order to buffer, why then disconnect?

How are the player and server connected to your network (router, switch, wired Ethernet, wireless, powerline)?

Everything is connected wirelessly through a Netgear router. The Marantz can play Internet Radio and Spotify no problem.

RE: Disconnected after 10 seconds
This really looks like the same recent issue reported on some Denon players a few days ago "Network music playback stops after 10 seconds", marked as solved as of today:

Wouldn't be surprising as many manufacturers share the same UPnP stack...

Thanks a lot for this. I guess that was the problem as I've just tried it again and everything's fine now!
