Disc 2 Causes Minimserver to crash
Hi,

The other day I noticed that some errors in the filenames and track name information on one album (it happened to be Billy Joel Greatest Hits Disc 2). I have just corrected the data for the affected files and added them to the playlist to check them. I selected the whole album by dragging the album cover to the playlist (I'm using Linn Kinsky).

The moment I did that Minimserver crashed.

After restarting Minimserver & repeating the exercise (with the same outcome, I tried to find the offending file by dragging each music track to the playlist individually. Every file was added to the playlist without error.

I then noticed that at the top of the page was a line that said ">> Disc 2".

Dragging this line to the playlist causes Minimserver to crash. Other multi-disc albums are the same. Nothing on Disc 1, but every other disc containing the Line >> Disc 2, >> Disc 3 etc.

Every one causes MS to crash.

Inspecting the details for the line suggests that these things are "Object.Containers" but there are no extra files in the directories.

I don't know if this is recent behavior, but I've never noticed it before (and I've been using a Linn DS for two years and Minim Server since November last year.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Kind Regards

J

Does the crash produce a red icon in MinimWatch? If so, please copy the complete Java stack trace from the MinimServer log window and post it here. Please also say what update level of MinimServer you are running. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply and thanks for reporting this. This problem was caused by a change in update 36 and is now fixed in update 39.
