Thanks for your quick response. This log shows the OPPO is making some unusual requests when it connects to the stream and starts to read the data. There are some changes I could make to the way MinimServer responds to these requests, but it isn't clear which (if any) of these changes might solve the problem. I'll do some further investigation and I'll let you know when I have more news on this.

Dear Simon, that sounds great, in case I should do some more tests, may be with other stations, just tell me, I'll do that.
My Oppo is connected to the internet via a bridge which is working at 5 GHz 802.11AC. It should not create any issue since even HD movies from the NAS show just fine.
Regards, Joerg

Simon / Joerg

Did you get anywhere with this? I have the same issue. Tried transcode to L16 and WAV, both show up in BubbleUPnP interface, but no sound through Oppo and same symptoms as Joerg's.

Thanks

Jamie

Yes, there has been some progress. You need to do the following:

1) Install the latest updates for MinimServer (update 35) and MinimStreamer (0.4.1) if you haven't already done this.

2) Make sure the radio stream is routed through MinimStreamer as described in this section.

3) Add stream audio information to the stream entry in the playlist. This is described in the last part of this section.

4) Restart MinimServer

With these changes, the transcoded L16 stream should play. If the stream format is MP3, the nontranscoded MinimStreamer stream (with [] in the playlist) should play as well. To test this, remove the stream.transcode option and restart MinimServer.

RE: Configuring radio streams with minimwatch
Thanks Simon

This is what I tried to follow.

Today I thought I'd try selecting the stream from the Oppo interface instead of BubbleUPnP. Interestingly, it does play, but at the wrong speed (squeaky voices)! It shows the PCM icon and [BBC] BBC Radio # (one entry instead of the 2 shown in BubbleUPnP).

I will try to play with the parameters again tomorrow.

This is probably caused by not having the audio information set correctly. Were you using L16 transcoding?

If you are located outside the UK, you need to set the sample rate for BBC streams to 32000. Within the UK, the default value of 44100 is correct.

RE: Configuring radio streams with minimwatch
I don’t understand, how this works. I made a m3u file with the example from the user guide (Linn). This is in the music directory. I can see the playlist and the file playlist.pls. When I play this, my Onkyo player plays this station. OK. But... If I enter the stream-ID (Linn) in the field stream.record, I get the message that this ID is unknown. Anyway: I understood, that something is wrong, when I see the playlist.pls. But I can’t understand what’s wrong and what to do.

Has anyone a hint?

EDIT: I tried all the options and all I could read here and on the web page. The result is: It doesn't work. I put the m3u file with Linn in the usic directory, I see the playliat and the pls file, and if I enter "Linn" to "stream.record" I get the message, that this ID is unknown. There must be another hidden secret. Which one?

BTW: I believed the entry in the m3u file makes, that I see the name of the stream, not just playlist.pls. How is this?

Have you checked the MinimServer log for error messages?

Please post the complete contents of your .m3u file here.

What do you see in your control point when you view the playlist? If you can post a screenshot or photo, this would be helpful.

Which control point are you using?
