What does "no outcome" mean? Do you get an error message when you set contentDir to the shared folder path?

sorry no outcome. When i put smb://… i stil get an error i did fill in the correct path in the open folder settng page from sotm. i also email sotm but i wait for repley

In this one I add a share in eunhasu (named DSD)
   
… if you want verify from a pc/Mac check Share folder (samba) see red arrow
Here you can see how DSD share is shown in eunhasu path (macOS finder)
   
If you can see the content of the mounted share then all is fine.
Now you can define in eunhasu Minimserver contentDir
/mw/data/music

Sorry for late responce. I got minimserver too work but i still cant reach my Silent Angel Rhein. I can login to the Rhein with my imac but not with the Sotm. I tried what Stefano wrote down but nothing. When i login with my imac i have to login as a quest and then i am on the data disk where my music is placed.

Can you try without enter userid and password when you define the mount in eunhasu?

Stefano and all you others thx for helping me in this matter. i did have contact with silent angel and he told me the samba protocol should work Indeed it works but only with windows ore macOS.

I’m sure it works on Fedora too (it’s the sMS200 OS), the problem is that you should have a userid and pwd … try to ask Silent Angel for that …
