Whilst it will obviously take longer to render 9999 albums than it will 100 (heavily dependant on the control point I would assume), the bigger question is how long will it take you to find the album you want from a list of 9999? I've settled on 150 because I find it a nice balance between being forced to make too many index selections, and being presented with too long a list of albums to scroll through.

I have always felt that using 9999 to specify that an unlimited number of albums should be presented as list view is somewhat ugly. From MinimServer update 233, you can use the special value 'all' to specify that the number of albums is unlimited.
